I have this folder full of artwork that I have carefully kept track of since I was a teenager. It has survived many moves across the country, constructed of taped-together parts of manila folders.

My drawing phase was over pretty quickly in my life so it's just a small collection. I loved cats and first started drawing our family cat, Mindy. I was also a Kiss fanatic like many teenagers in the 70s and enjoyed making my own drawings from photographs I would find in magazines.

Why am I posting my silly artwork from my youth? Mainly just to digitize it and have a nice place to store it. The paper is aging and will deteriorate over time. Yes, it's important to me like any other life phase that we go through. I can be somewhat fanatical about keeping records of things! Plus I thought it would be a fun way to share these old drawings with family and friends. And much easier than dragging that dusty old folder out and riffling through the yellowed pages.
